Get To A Board-ready Tech Roadmap In 6 Weeks

Blueprint turns tech overwhelm into a clear roadmap, clear ownership,
and a realistic investment plan your team can execute.

Program Overview

Blueprint is a guided engagement for nonprofit leaders who need to make confident technology decisions without getting stuck in vendor noise, stalled projects, or endless “we should fix the CRM” loops.

In 6 weeks (Essentials) or 13 weeks (Full), we work side-by-side to produce a plan you can use immediately, plus a simple cadence for keeping decisions moving.

Our Commitment To Your Success:

We work with your schedule and capacity to ensure the program fits your team’s needs

You’ll receive templates, checklists, and practical resources to streamline the process and make each step clear, efficient and actionable

Before We Begin

To help us make the most of our time together, we ask that you gather a few materials in advance:

  • A list of your current tools and systems, along with who uses each one, even if the list is still incomplete or a bit messy
  • Any existing documentation, such as technology plans, policies, vendor contracts, or an organizational chart, if available
  • A few real examples of current challenges, such as reports that are difficult to produce, intake forms, spreadsheets, or recurring manual processes
  • Basic read-only access to key systems for discovery, or a guided screenshare, along with any relevant reports or screenshots
  • A designated point person who can help coordinate scheduling and collect materials

If possible, please share these materials 3 to 5 business days before Week 1 so our first session can focus on analysis and decision-making rather than information gathering.

FAQs

Who is this for?

Growing nonprofits (typically 15–75 staff) that need a board-ready tech roadmap, clear ownership, and a practical plan they can execute without adding chaos.

What’s included?

You’ll receive a guided, step-by-step program that covers tech landscape assessment, strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and a clear, actionable roadmap.

The program includes live sessions with an expert facilitator, practical templates and checklists, and support tailored to your organization’s specific needs.

We’ll also flag practical opportunities for responsible automation where it fits, without hype.

How much time is required?

The Blueprint can be completed in as little as 6 weeks for smaller nonprofits, or up to 13 weeks for larger, more complex organizations.

Smaller organizations should expect to spend 2-3 hours per week in live sessions and related activities.

Larger organizations should plan for 3-5 hours a week depending on organizational complexity and scope.

We’ll work with your schedule to ensure the program fits your team’s capacity and urgency.

What if we're worried about time or bandwidth?

We know nonprofit life is unpredictable. If you need to pause, adjust the pace, or want us to take a more active role, we’re here to help. You can switch from the guided Blueprint to a hands-on consulting or implementation engagement at any time—just ask.

Is there ongoing support after the program?

Yes! After completing the Blueprint, you’ll have the option to continue working with us through our retainer packages, which offer executive-level consulting, implementation guidance, and ongoing innovation support. We’re committed to being your long-term partner in nonprofit technology success.

What if we’re not ready for a retainer?

No problem! The Blueprint is a standalone program designed to give you clarity, direction, and a practical plan—without any ongoing commitment. You can use your Blueprint to guide internal initiatives or continue with our Mission-Driven Tech Strategy Retainer for ongoing partnership and support.

"It is rare to find someone that genuinely cares about our team, our projects, and our clients. Our success is their mission!" Coat Rack communicates - not just at a surface level, but with real and deep engagement that keeps us informed of their work, and enhances our performance through their knowledge sharing. Working with many vendors over the years, it's rare to find a partner who genuinely cares about our team, our projects, and our clients. If you want a vendor that you hand a project to and walk away, you will be impressed with Coat Rack. However, If you want a vendor who collaborates with you and prioritizes teamwork and communication, all while building well designed and thought-out projects, Coat Rack is the one. They will always be our vendor of choice and should be yours.
